Early Childhood Education
Early Childhood Education and Care program is designed to help students gain understanding and
knowledge about children birth through nine years of age. The program prepares students for employment
in child cares, nursery schools, working as a nanny or au pair, preschools, and Head Start programs.
While participating in the program students learn about the growth and development of young children,
how to work directly with young children, and learn to implement this knowledge during hands-on lab experiences.
This experience may be applied toward obtaining a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA).
